Love Your Rebellion’s Level 1 Poetry Course is a 5-week class that teaches the foundations of writing poetry and offers students the opportunity to workshop poems. The course will focus on the first five foundations of poetry: imagery, metaphor, juxtaposition, sound, and rhythm. Each class will also include writing prompts and exercises, plus critical writings from poets about writing poetry.

This course is perfect for anyone who has a love for poetry, whether a new poet or an existing writer. Both benefit from practicing the five foundational concepts of writing poetry alongside other writers. With the addition of weekly workshops, this course not only hones writing skills, but also provides a supportive environment for feedback and constructive criticism.

The course will be instructed by Love Your Rebellion founder Angela Page, who holds an MFA in Writing from Goddard College and has published several poems in literary anthologies and journals, plus a collection Speaking with My Second Mouth.
