This old Florida farm is surrounded by many native palms, pines, fruit trees, flowering plants and fresh vegetables in season. Local honey tasting is available, orange blossom, saw palmetto, black mangrove and wildflower.

Nature Park at the Shell Factory

At our Nature Park and Botanical Gardens you will find over 450 animals living here from alligators to a zebra! Sloths, coatimundis, kinkajous and lemurs are just a few who call the 4 1/2 acre park home. Enter into one of the aviaries to see a wide variety of birds, iguanas, tortoises and turtles roaming freely waiting for you to feed them.

Let the kids get wet on the Bumper Boats, pitch a few water balloons at Water Wars, or take out a Paddle Boat and feed the fish and turtles. Also, see if you are ready for the Masters with a round of Miniature Golf. The Soaring Eagle Zip Line will take you to new heights! Inside, visit the New Video Game Arcade which has games and rides available for children and adults of all ages, along with Hunts Brothers Pizza served at Scallywags Cafe. 

USS Mohawk Memorial Reef

On Monday, July 2, the World War II warship U.S.S. Mohawk CGC was deployed to its final resting place 90 feet under water, roughly 28 nautical miles off of Sanibel Island on Florida’s southwest coast, creating the first Veterans Memorial Reef dedicated to all U.S. veterans using a military ship. The official name of the reef will be the U.S.S. Mohawk CGC Veterans Memorial Reef.


The official coordinates are N26 33.075’ , W82 43.481’
