Visitors to the RRC can tour the Calusa Heritage Trail, a 3,700-foot interpretive walkway that leads visitors through mounds, canals and other features of the Pineland archaeological site, including a variety of plants, birds and other wildlife. 

Directions: From North Ft. Myers, Pine Island Rd. (S.R. 78) west to Pine Island; right on Rd. 767 (Stringfellow), north 3.1 mi., left on Pineland Rd. Pineland Rd. to the coast. The road - now Waterfront Dr. - turns north and parallels shoreline. After sharp turn to right - east away from water - site entrance marked by large sign on the right, just past Tarpon Lodge on the left.
