The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel Embraces Corporate Social Responsibility Group volunteering and donation opportunities throughout the area help support the Corporate Social Responsibility mission.
The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel is committed to providing meeting professionals with just the right CSR opportunity for your group. The local visitor and convention bureau embraces conservation and sustainability from both a people and planet perspective, and they are happy to have you join them by adding a rewarding CSR project to your meeting or incentive agenda. The following non-profit organizations offer CSR-friendly group volunteering and/or donation opportunities: CALUSA NATURE CENTER & PLANETARIUM Mission: Develop better public awareness and appreciation of the unique natural systems and wildlife in Southwest Florida. Group Activities: Painting, cleaning, butterfly garden maintenance, trail maintenance. More opportunities available if group is willing to buy materials. Group Activities: Groups could donate or sponsor a special project. Groups could assist with maintenance on the demonstration farm or take a tour and spread the word to other organizations. Group Activities: Possibilities include: coastal/beach clean up, exotic plant removal, cattail removal (removing cattails from area parks), park beautification (weeding and gardening), litter control (parks and preserves), work with children’s programs, check trail markers along the Great Calusa Blueway (kayaking and paddling), assist with a special event, teach a class. Group Activities: Kayaking to clean up trash and monofilament line clean up from waterways, nursery maintenance (weeding and mulching), educational opportunities in the nature center for habitat restoration and environmental issues.
